Roy Rub

Senior Graphic Designer, Topos Graphics

Roy was born and raised in Tel Aviv. He spent three years as a Commander in the Israeli Navy before enrolling in the Bezelel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem. After transferring to The Cooper Union in New York City, he graduated with a B.F.A.

Since 2005, Roy has been affiliated with Topos Graphics, a multidisciplinary design studio with offices in NYC and Miami. Topos’ aim has been to create meaningful answers to print and web questions. The studio has been the recipient of numerous awards both in the US and abroad, having been consistently recognized by the AIGA, Print Magazine, and Communication Arts and included in such international exhibits as Spain’s 2011 Laus, Germany’s 2010 Red Dot, and Croatia’s Zgraf 10 2010 Biennial. Its success is due—in no small part—to working with a wide range of people across multiple client sectors.

For inspiration, Roy feeds off of the urban setting in which he lives, but in another life he was a naturalist. Away from the studio a true passion of his is ornithology—observing, cataloguing, and researching our avian friends. As a licensed wildlife rehabber, Roy tends to injured, sick and orphaned New York City wildlife. Birds help him relate to his surroundings in both a meaningful and tangible way.

Toria Emery

Freelance Writer & Creative Director

While her high school friends were pouring over articles in Seventeen magazine about dating and clear skin, Toria was focused on the ads. Since then, Toria has dabbled in nearly every kind of advertising, from traditional to design to digital, but is most drawn to integrated work that blurs the lines between advertising and experience. While at Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, the agency went from having no interactive department to winning Digital Agency of the Year – twice. While at AKQA, she headed up the first global Alternate Reality Game, which attracted more than five million players in 100 countries. Toria has a collection of awards from the usual places, including Cannes, The One Show, D&AD, The Clios Communication Arts, and Flash In The Can. Toria is currently freelancing as a writer and creative director in San Francisco.

Andy Minisman

Creative Director

Andy began his career in NYC, where he cut his teeth on big brands such as Mercedes-Benz, Forbes and Fila. After serving 4 years in the concrete jungle and gaining a wealth of work and life experiences, he moved west to San Francisco, getting a much needed dose of green grass, clean water and a more relaxed life style. He worked with several agencies over the span of a few years until given the opportunity to run the Miami Ad School. Believing change can be good, he took the job and the challenge of trying to help pave the way for his students to get the best creative jobs possible. A year later and a year younger, thanks to the uninhibited thinking of the school environment, Andy went back to the home of his alma mater in Boulder and joined up with an agency that he’d always greatly admired, CP+B. While there, his experience as a Senior Art Director was unlike any other agency experience he’d previously had or imagined he’d ever have. At CP+B, he produced more work than he thought humanly possible. In the end, the long hours and hard work paid off, producing work for clients such as Volkswagen, Truth, Domino’s Pizza and, most notably, Burger King, home of the award-winning “Whopper Freakout” campaign.

Today, Andy lives in LA with his soon-to-be wife and two little girls and has been enjoying the ever changing and challenging work as a freelance Creative Director.
